Hitting Hints
We suggest before playing your first game with your new DRIVE-TRU® club, that you go to a driving range and test out your grip and swing with the DRIVE-TRU® club.
Please read the following 'Hitting Hints' for suggestions for using this club.
- TEE AND BALL PLACEMENT
Tee the ball high. Use the long tees supplied with the club. Insert the tee into the ground to the black mark on the tee. - FEET AND CLUB ALIGNMENT
Align the stripe on top of the clubhead to the ball flight direction by rotating the shaft in your fingertips before taking your grip. - IF YOUR HIT RESULTS IN A DRAW (HOOK)
Rotate the clubhead to the right so the 'stripe' points to the right of the intended target and then take your grip. - FADING YOUR SHOT
A 'Fade' may be hit by rotating the clubhead to the right before taking your grip. - OPEN STANCE SETUP
If your normal ball address is with an open stance, align the 'stripe' to point at the intended target. An open stance may result in a slight fade. - LOFTING AND DE-LOFTING A SHOT
The ball may be teed up forward or aft of your normal position to change the ball flight height (loft). Tee the ball higher for the forward position and lower for the aft position.
The DRIVE-TRU® patented clubface design makes it difficult to slice a drive. Most drives should be near the intended target. Some grip-swing combinations may result in a slight fade or draw.
